More about me!
Hey there! I'm an Aotearoa based game designer and developer! I'm currently finishing up my 4th year studying Applied Immersive Game Design as a bachelor's of product design at the University of Canterbury.
Most of my experience is in Unity, but I am currently branching out to unreal and godot. Working with interesting peripherals and XR are some of my bigger interests in the
realm of game design, and many of my university projects have been centred around that. I love working in teams, especially when there are opportunities to bounce ideas around
and have a lot of fun making something and interacting with other members of the team.
For the past two years, I've been on the exec for the UC Game Dev Society as a media coordinator, making and posting images to the social media accounts,
and taking photos of events that we run. It's fun being involved with the organization of events catered towards the aspiring game developers at UC, and I'm happy I signed up for the position.
Outside of designing and developing games, I also play a fair share of video games! I'm a huge fan of fighting games, and even attend tournaments for Super Smash Bros.
and Guilty Gear -STRIVE-. I really enjoy the flow state that comes from two players being fully invested in a match, each trying to outmaneuver the other.
I also enjoy playing RPGs, or any game with an interesting story or world to experience like undertale. Another game I come back to time and time again is Team Fortress 2.
Outside of video games, I also enjoy playing and running Dungeons and Dragons with my friends, I think it's a great way to tell a narrative in an interactive and collabrative
way with a group of people. While I've been trying to convince them to play other tabletops, so far we've only played 5e.
